Enhanced Vouchers
Enhanced vouchers are also administered by PHAs and overseen by PIH. PIH sometimes refers to enhanced vouchers as one of several types of “conversion vouchers,” as they are provided to assist families affected by the conversion of HUD-assisted or insured properties to market-rate housing.

The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is responsible for monitoring taxpayer claims to the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit. Some information may also be found on the IRS website

The regulations applicable to the low-income housing tax credit may be found at 26 CFR 1.42.

Tax Exempt and 501 (c)(3) Bond Programs
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is responsible for monitoring adherence to these programs. For more information, see the IRS website.

Rural Housing Service (RHS) programs
Links to RHS regulations (which RHS calls “instructions”), handbooks, notices, and other guidance. RHS regulations are collected in 7 CFR Chapters XVIII and XXXV. The regulations governing the Rural Rental Housing (RRH) and Rural Cooperative Housing (RCH) loans under Sections 515 and 521 of the Housing Act of 1949 are at 7 CFR 1944 subpart E (beginning section 1944.201). HUD’s regulations applicable to the RHS Section 515 projects with Section 8 assistance are at: 24 CFR 884.
