State of Mississippi, Hurricane Recovery Support
Compass and the Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District have prepared and delivered a report (commissioned by the Governor’s Office of Recovery and Renewal and Mississippi Development Authority and publicly released on 02/04/09) on the post-Katrina housing recovery in Mississippi. The purpose of this report was to compile and assess the best available data to aid the State in planning and guiding recovery efforts. Compass currently is continuing the data study and is advising the State on design of post-hurricane housing initiatives.
